Then Di Canio (I was 12-13)
Think that was it.
Maybe Tony Cottee as well but can't remember.

last couple of shirts I've got the number 4 on the back. no name. it was my number playing.

Was a bit to old for all that. My mother did however try cutting out a number 6 from an old white bedsheet and stitching it into the back of one of my kits, 81-83 shirt I think.
Results were a shambles. Bless her.

As many have said, by the time you could get it done I was late teens/20's. Too old.
What is the oldest age when this is still acceptable?

don't think I ever have.
Had a 8 for Frankie Mc but no name in 85/86
had a van Basten Milan top in 1989ish, don't recall if it had a name or just a number though
